Vrbo Citrus Bowl, New Years Celebrations and more – WFTV


ORLANDO, Florida – Looking for something to do this weekend?

Here is a list of nine things that are happening in Central Florida.

1. Vrbo 2021 Citrus Bowl

The Iowa Hawkeyes and Kentucky Wildcats will meet on New Years Day at the Vrbo Citrus Bowl at Camping World Stadium.

2. New year celebration in the old town

A car show, shows and more will lead to the free fireworks show.

SeaWorld will host its annual New Years fireworks display on Friday.

4. New Years Eve at the Edison

At Disney Springs, The Edison is hosting a New Years Gala with shows, dining, and an open dance floor. The event starts at 8 p.m.

5. New Year’s Eve at Boxi Park

Boxi Park will host a New Years Eve party. It starts at 4 p.m. Click here for tickets.

6. New Years Eve at Lake Avalon

The New Year’s Eve fireworks over Lake Avalon start at midnight.

seven. New Years Eve at Sunset Park

Food, drinks, and live music begin 9 hours before the fireworks display at Sunset Park, 230 W. 4th Avenue in Mount Dora.

8. Orlando Solar Bears vs. South Carolina Stingrays

The Orlando Solar Bears will face the South Carolina Stingrays at the Amway Center.

9. Asian Lantern Festival: Into the Wild

The Central Florida Zoo & Botanical Gardens opened a dazzling nighttime event, “Asian Lantern Festival: Into the Wild”.

The exhibit features more than 100 larger-than-life lanterns spread throughout the zoo.

The event takes place at night, outside normal zoo opening hours, until January 16.
