Sony to unveil new PlayStation 5 headsets and gaming monitors on June 28

Sony plans to unveil its new line of PlayStation 5 accessories and gaming hardware during a special stream on June 28.

Sony will soon release a new brand of enthusiast gaming peripherals specifically for the PlayStation 5, complete with PC interoperability. Reports say the new lineup will be called INZONE and will include gaming headsets, high-end monitors, and a new PlayStation 5 DualSense controller aimed at professional gamers.

The INZONE line is set to be unveiled at a new showcase on June 28 at 5:00 PM EST. Sony has released a new countdown video on YouTube with the “Find your new ZONE” teaser, an obvious reference to leaked INZONE products.

Sources have told reporter and leaker Tom Henderson that the INZONE brand will include high-end gaming monitors with two resolution and refresh rate goals: one monitor will feature 4K 144Hz for more demanding PlayStation 5 games, and the other will focus on higher frame rates high with a 1080p FHD panel at 240Hz.

Reports also suggest the monitors will feature Sony’s proprietary display technology, including its XR Cognitive Processor used in pricey Bravia TVs, which autofocuses scenes and alters contrast, lighting and on-screen effects to match specific scenes.

The information also indicates that the INZONE monitor duo will include FPS counters, HDR and other high-end additions aimed at enthusiasts and professional console gaming.

Other peripherals include the aforementioned DualSense pro controller, which may feature hot-swappable thumbsticks and rear paddle buttons, as well as three new gaming headsets ranging from wired models to wireless models with noise-canceling capabilities.
