Masters Live Golf Scores, Results, Thursday Round 1 Standings Highlights

The 2022 Masters Tournament, the first and most prestigious of golf’s four major tournaments, is finally back.

The Masters is a fixture in any field, but the mere inclusion of Tiger Woods – who confirmed on Tuesday he would attend after missing last year’s event following a car crash in February – makes this year’s competition even more attractive.

Woods will tee off at 10:34 a.m. ET alongside Louis Oosthuizen and Joaquin Niemann. How he competes – he has only missed one cut weekend in his Masters history – will be a subject of great interest. But there’s more to this year’s Masters than Tiger, imposing as he is in this year’s competition.

There is also Hideki Matsuyama, who in 2021 became the first Asian-born golfer to win the Masters. He will start on Thursday alongside Justin Thomas and amateur James Piot. Curiously, Matsuyama is not among the top five golfers listed to win at Augusta this week: they are Jon Rahm (+900), Scottie Scheffler (+1,200), Thomas and Cameron Smith (+1,400) and Dustin Johnson (+1,600). ).
