Live! Casino Pittsburgh will host a car cruise at the Westmoreland Mall


Officials with Live! Casino Pittsburgh is gearing up to host its first car cruise, festival and fundraiser next week, rounding out its slew of summer events.

The car cruise will run from noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday, August 14 in the casino parking lot at Westmoreland Shopping Center in Hempfield.

In addition to the cars, the event will feature live music and a DJ, food trucks, a beer garden, silent auctions, a 50/50 raffle and more. Donations will also be collected to support Jeannette-based Athletes educated firstwhich works to improve the educational awareness and self-esteem of young student athletes through academic and athletic support.

This event will be the third organized by the casino this summer.

The “Bulls & Barrels” Pro Rodeo and Concert kicked off the summer in June. The two-day event drew over 4,000 people to an impromptu rodeo featuring 40 bulls and 30 horses. The casino hosted its second annual Craft Beer, Wine and Music Festival in July, featuring more than 60 craft beers.

Officials are still accepting entries for this month’s event, including cars, trucks and motorcycles. Vehicle registration is $10. Dashboard plates will be given to the first 150 cars registered, as well as to the first 25 trucks and 10 motorcycles. Entrants have the chance to win free game prizes for Best of Show, Best of Each Division, People’s Choice and more.
