List of Halloween events, Día de los Muertos in the Central Valley


Communities in central California are organizing several events this year to celebrate Halloween and Día de los Muertos.

Here is a list of events happening in the area:

Thursday October 28

Visalia trunk or treat
SITE: The Dream Center – 1730 W Walnut Avenue, Suite B, Visalia, CA
TIME: 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
EVENT INFORMATION: Tulare County Foster Youth Services Education Office features a drive-thru or treat event. COVID-19 and influenza vaccines will also be available.

saturday 30 october

Porterville trunk or treat
SITE: Galaxy Theater – 631 N Indiana Street, Porterville, CA
TIME: 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

EVENT INFORMATION: Free event! Costumed parade at 4 p.m. Prizes for the best on-the-go costumes, treats or treats and crafts and more.

Auto show x trunk or treat
SITE: W 22nd Street, Merced, California
TIME: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
EVENT INFORMATION: Do you have a car that you like to show off? The Merced Police Department’s 1st Annual Auto Show is October 30! Come join us! Show your car and taste great food. Cala Gala Dia de los Muertos
SITE: Arte Americas – 1630 Van Ness Avenue, Fresno, California
TIME: 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
EVENT INFORMATION: A family celebration of Dia de Muertos at Arte Americas. Tickets provide access to our Altares exhibit as well as art and culture vendors and performances by local musicians and folk dance groups. Special recognition from chef Paco Balderrama and an appearance by Lety La Catrina from Visalia. Buy your tickets at

Sunday October 31

Atwater trunk or treat
SITE: Atwater Police Department – 750 Bellevue Road, Atwater, CA
TIME: 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
EVENT INFORMATION: Family activities and entertainment with the police and firefighters. We are excited to team up with the Atwater Fire Department for a fun family event at the Police Department. The event will take place in the front public parking lot (750, chemin Bellevue) on Halloween day.

Huron trunk or treat
SITE: Huron Police Department – 17051 12th Street, Huron, CA
TIME: 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
EVENT INFORMATION: The Huron Police Department would like to invite everyone to our 2nd annual Trunk or Treat event. Please join us on Sunday October 31st for this event where the community can interact with our staff. There will be music, candy, food and more! This event is made possible through the joint efforts of not only our staff, but also the support of our local businesses. We would like this event to bring our small community together for an evening of fun and games!
