Grand Ledge Fall Festival is back by popular demand

GRAND LEDGE, Mich. (WILX) – The Grand Ledge Fall Festival returns to conquer the city on October 9. The event started last year in lieu of the Color Cruise, a 40-year event that was canceled by the pandemic. But city leaders saw the success of the local farmer’s market and decided to organize an event around it.

“We brought back, for example, a petting zoo and different stuff that we normally had on the color cruise,” said Amy Hoys of the Grand Ledge Chamber of Commerce. “The boat could not be launched last year. But the participation was so important and we had such positive feedback that we decided to do it again this year. Honestly, it was really easy to set up last year, so I was like ‘let’s do it again!’ “

There will be attractions throughout downtown Grand Ledge, including live music performances throughout the day at Jaycee Park.

The event includes:

The Grand Ledge Fall Festival will run from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on October 9 and will be free to everyone.

There will also be a Oktoberfest on the same evening from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m.
