Allegany Arts Council and Schoolhouse Quilters Guild will host the first-ever 2022 Schoolhouse Quilting Show and Contest from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. June 3-4 and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 5 at the Allegany County Fairgrounds in Cumberland , Maryland. The event marks the first time the council and quilt have teamed up for show and competition, looking to expand nationally. The 2022 contest will feature three full days of quilt shows, programs and workshops, a quilt shop, vendors and more. Over $5,000 in prizes will be awarded to traditional and modern quilters in various categories.
