CLASSIC cars will head to Dorchester for a showcase of yesteryear vehicles this weekend.
Brewery Square will host the Dorchester Classic Vehicle Club on Saturday June 26.
Members of the Dorchester Classic Vehicle Club will present their cars to the public between noon and 2 p.m. The show will also include live jazz music to take visitors back to a nostalgic time.
Vice President John Dancy will show off his 1968 half-ton Morris pickup truck to interested car enthusiasts.
He said: “I can’t wait to bring him to the show, he just passed his MOT and it’s great to bring him out.”
Mr Dancy added: “This is the first time in over a year that the club has organized any type of show or meeting. It’s such a shame that a lot of shows have been canceled – I understand it’s for a good reason, but we miss it.
“It’s a very good club and we are all very nice people.”
Charlotte Spracklen, Director of the Brewery Square Center, said: “We believe it is important for local businesses to support each other after such a difficult year, so we are delighted to partner with the Dorchester Classic Vehicle Club.
“They have a fantastic community of classic car owners and we’re excited to introduce them to Brewery Square, helping to make our visitors’ shopping trips even more memorable.”
Brewery Square operates with strict health and safety measures on site, to ensure the well-being of all buyers, staff and retailers. Hand sanitizing stations are available around the complex, with floor stickers in place where the queue is likely and daily cleaning of the door handles.
