Craftsmen sail to fourth straight win as Falcons fall to CSC


HYANNIS— Bristol-Plymouth football is on a roll and shows no signs of stopping.

The Craftsmen picked up their fourth straight win on Saturday afternoon as they beat St. John Paul II 21-6 in non-league action in Cape Town to improve to 4-1 on the year.

Leading running back Ryan Barnes led the way for BP with a pair of touchdowns and a 70-yard kickoff return. Quarterback Ryan Donovan had a two-point conversion pass to brother and receiver Billy Donovan and an interception on defense while Tucker Bumila had several tackles for a loss.

The Crafters return to action next Saturday as they host Mayflower League foes Tri-County for their annual homecoming game.

Friday night lights: Taunton football can’t keep pace with Franklin

The Falcons fell to the Bulldogs on the road in South Coast Conference league action Friday night and are now 1-4 on the year.

Junior fullback Cam St. James had 17 yards on 10 carries as he scored the only DR touchdown of the night while adding eight tackles and a fumble recovery on defense.

Cole Bilodeau and Yasiel Rodrigues shared quarterback duties, with Bilodeau throwing three of eight for 23 yards and an interception while having 11 carries for 50 yards and Rodrigues threw three of six for 72 yards, with receivers Evan Thibert and Jaden Solitro having three catches for 29 yards and three catches for 66 yards, respectively.

The Falcons return to action on Friday as they host Apponequet (4-1) in another CSC game.
