Supercar driver James Courtney will showcase a new livery on his Tickford Racing Ford Mustang this weekend, with Australian caravan company Snowy River Caravans taking over naming rights sponsorship for the next two rounds.

Mustang #5 will be decked out in Snowy River Caravans branding at both the Perth SuperNight and Winton SuperSprint, adopting a black, white and green design.

Courtney is coming off a string of mixed results at the Australian Grand Prix. The 41-year-old had two top 10s but limped to 22n/a in the final match.

Perhaps the most memorable moment of her Melbourne 400 weekend was a battle with Chaz Mostert that resulted in a final turn, denying Courtney a podium.

Ironically, Courtney’s new color scheme bears a striking resemblance to that of Mostert’s Optus Walkinshaw Andretti United car.

Ahead of Supercars’ first visit to Wanneroo Raceway since 2019, Courtney is confident he can translate car speed into results.

“Perth is one of our longest road trips of the season so it’s fantastic to have Snowy River caravans with us,” Courtney said.

“It will be a very exciting weekend for the Championship, racing under the lights again in WA, and we are delighted to have the Snowy River team on board.

“We had really good speed at the Grand Prix a few weeks ago, but we didn’t convert that into the results we deserved, so we’re very motivated to make the most of this weekend.”

The partnership between Tickford Racing and Snowy River Caravans (part of the Regent Caravans group) comes at the right time for the new partner, who are expected to open a dealership in Perth shortly.

“We are delighted to have Snowy River Caravans supporting James Courtney and Tickford Racing at the upcoming Supercars Series in Perth and Winton,” said Andrew Crank, CEO and Managing Director of Regent Caravans.

“The combination of James, Tickford and Snowy River provides great appeal for our business, and our entire team is thrilled with our involvement.

“Both events provide great opportunities for our brand, we have a new location opening in Perth and Winton is a popular camping event giving us both a great opportunity to interact with Supercars fans and show them our impressive range of award-winning caravans.

“The Mustang Snowy River Caravans looks fantastic, and we have some exciting activations planned to showcase our brand, which will be a fantastic start to our partnership.”

Courtney will be looking to move from 14and in the standings for the Perth SuperNight, which takes place in Western Australia from April 30 to May 1.
