WXYZ DETROIT – Once again, it’s time to catch up on our community feedback. Our station’s editorial on the international Detroit Riverwalk voted number one in the nation for the second year in a row garnered a lot of likes and shares on Facebook. Sarah Wilson wrote:
“It’s awesome! I love Detroit, the riverside and Belle Isle. (They) are some of my favorite places.
Rachel Bryant said:
“”My mother, RIP, would be so proud. She served on the conservation council when it was created.
Another Channel 7 viewer sent us this message:
“Detroit’s riverfront transformation is incredible. I remember when there was only industrial cement there. Now it’s the envy of the nation.
And there was this reaction from Jim Anderson:
“I hope this second national award silences Detroit critics. We have a beautiful riverfront that overlooks another country. How many cities can say that?
Our editorial on the return of the Detroit International Auto Show prompted these comments. Dale Green asked:
“(Do you think) September (is) better than June?”
We will find out. One thing is for sure, it will be warmer than the old auto shows in January. And speaking of the past, a viewer doesn’t want to let go. He asks:
“Why waste space on electric vehicles, especially in Detroit where it should be pistons in cylinders as God intended?”
And finally, this comment:
“Congratulations to the Detroit Auto Dealers Association for its attempt to recreate the excitement of the Detroit Auto Show. The pandemic has been a blow but not a knockout blow,”
Thanks for writing and watching.
