MOUNT WASHINGTON, Ky. (WDRB) – A car show in Bullitt County free for the viewers only obligatory a thing: an unwrapped toy.
Dozens of people checked out the lineup of customs, classics, muscle cars and bikes featured around the Mount Washington Central Garage Sunday afternoon.
“My grandma bought this new car here,“ noted Aubrey cheatham who stopped in his 1969 Plymouth satellite Ivy Green Metallic.
His grandmother, Onita Cheatham, bought the new car This year.
âYou can see a lot of different cars and go out to a good cause and make gifts for children,“ said Cheatham.
His classic car is one of more than 100 registered vehicles in the spectacle It is collecting hundreds of toys as well as gift cards.
Shaun Logsdon, co-organizer and owner of full service The auction and real estate company, Logsdon Group, said: “There are a large number of UNderprivileged children in Bullitt County so this is only one way to collect toys and donations to help these children.“
Each of the toys collected will be offered at an event in the Paroquet Springs Conference Center in Shepherdsville on December 16. The will too be a Christmas dinner and chance for the children to meet Santa Claus.
“It’s a kind of to start up at this event for try and pick up some toys, but we make events all the way from April in November,“ Logsdon, who is Bullitt County District 2 magistrate, said.
His ggroup to takes a different charity for every fundraiser.
Before the end of the year, Logsdon and Te Central Garage hopes to release a lot of joy this holiday season to as many families as possible.
“We already have a lot of toys, so it’s going to be a lot of fun delivering these toys,“ Logsdon adds.
