Brick SummerFest 2022: concerts, cars, fireworks and fun

BRICK, NJ – Summer has arrived, and so has SummerFest, Brick Township’s annual concert series at Windward Beach Park and family event series.

SummerFest, celebrating its 27th year, kicks off the concert series on June 30 and will continue on Thursdays until July 21. There’s a food court, beer and wine garden for those 21 and up and every concert ends with a fireworks display.

In August there is the annual National Night Out and the SummerFest Car Show, one of the largest in the state.

Concerts begin around 7 p.m., and there are shuttles to bring residents to Windward Beach as parking is limited in the park.

“SummerFest is truly one of the best summer traditions on the Jersey Shore,” said Mayor John G. Ducey. “It gives families the opportunity to have a fun and affordable night out, enjoy great music and fireworks and more.”

On June 30, Super Trans-Am has to happen. The band, which debuted at SummerFest last year, plays the best arena anthems and hits from the 1970s.

July 7, Stifler’s mom makes her debut. The band plays your favorite music from the 1990s, including rock, east and west coast hip-hop, pop with R&B, TV hit theme songs, Seattle Grunge and more.

The 14th of July, The Benjamins have to happen. The group has been entertaining crowds across the country for more than two decades and their shows are a “unique combination of classic, modern, elegant and avant-garde”.

July 21, it’s a throwback to the 80s with Jessie’s Girl! Jessie’s Girl is a SummerFest favorite and performs the greatest hits of the 80s, complete with costumes, accessories and more. Put on your Spandex, your leggings and come enjoy the music of the MTV Decade!

Shuttles for the concert series will come and go from Drum Point Elementary School, Brick Township Secondary School, Veterans Memorial Middle School and the Fellowship Chapel parking lot on Duchess Lane. Shuttles begin trips to the park at 5 p.m. and return trips from Windward begin at 8 p.m. Anyone under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
